Learn to Confidently Communicate Your Value with Interview & Salary Negotiation Coaching

Job Interview and Salary Negotiation Coaching in San Francisco and Berkeley, CA - Career Therapy - Karen Rose, LPCCHearing a prospective employer wants to interview you can feel like cause for a celebration! You’ve crossed a major hurdle and at least you know something about your resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profile is working… So, take a moment to pat yourself on the back. But, don’t pop open the champagne just yet!

Interviews and the salary negotiations that follow can be a couple of the most nerve-wracking, anxiety-provoking parts of the job search process.

Even those of us who are natural extroverts and have little or no problem talking about ourselves can still have difficulties knowing what kinds of question to expect, and how to answer the questions we’re asked in a clear, well-thought-out and organized manner.

And for those of us who are naturally introverted, shy, or suffer from some form of social anxiety, the interview and salary negotiation processes can be intimidating, if not downright terrifying!

Thankfully there are calming and self-soothing techniques that can help you cope with any anxieties or fears you may face.

And, if some limiting belief or self-esteem issue is holding you back from communicating effectively or negotiating in such a way as to make sure you get what you’re worth, I can help you recognize, cope with and overcome those issues, too.

In fact, one of the reasons I started Career Therapy is to bring my years of experience in my counseling and psychotherapy practice – in which I help people overcome social anxiety, fears, self-esteem issues and the limiting beliefs that hold them back – to all of those who are looking to find or create a career they love and is truly rewarding!

I can help you learn to feel grounded and be clear and organized about what you want to communicate.

And through a series of role-playing exercises you can quickly learn to structure your responses to questions, be aware of non-verbal communication, as well as formulate your own questions for interviewers.

If necessary, we can even incorporate some Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) exercises and mindfulness techniques into our work together to help you overcome your anxieties and fears so you can walk into any interview feeling relaxed and confident.

Ready to Get Started?

I’ve been helping people learn to effectively navigate the interview and salary negotiation processes for the better part of the past three decades, both in my work supervising career counselors at John F. Kennedy University’s Career Center and San Francisco State University’s Career Counseling and Development Center as well as in my career counseling and career coaching practice in the San Francisco Bay.

I know how overwhelming these processes can be. I also know a little help can go a LONG way!

So, whether you’re looking for actionable strategies on how to position yourself and your experience more confidently – both during job interviews and during salary negotiations – or you need to go a little deeper in order to better understand, value, and communicate your own worth, I can help.

Remember, you don’t have to navigate career questions and transitions alone…

If you have any questions about how I can help you prepare for your next interview or salary negotiation, or you’re ready to dive in, start role playing, and resolve any underlying anxieties, fears, or limiting beliefs you may have so you can acquire the career and success you desire, contact me today at (510) 486-1188 or schedule a free initial phone consultation, today. I look forward to speaking with you.
